- Coaches must respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every player and treat each equally within the context of the sport.
- Coaches must place the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations, including the development of performance.
- Coaches must adhere to the Bye-Laws of Hong Kong Football Club and the rules and regulations of any other organisation which allows play to take place at their venue.
- Coaches must develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.
- Coaches must not exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward.
- Coaches must encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.
- Coaches must ensure that the activities they direct or advocate are appropriate for the age, maturity, experience and age of players (e.g. size of pitch, duration of game or training session), recognizing that players develop at different times and in different ways.
- Coaches must recognize that players have multiple interests and should be reasonable in their demands on players time, energy and enthusiasm.
- Head Coaches must, before the season starts, clarify with the other coaches and thereafter the players (and where appropriate, parents) what is expected of them and also what they are entitled to expect from the coach.
- Coaches must cooperate fully with other specialists (e.g. other coaches, officials, sports scientists, doctors, physiotherapists) in the best interests of the player.
- Coaches must always promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g. fair play) and never condone violations of the Laws of the Game, behaviour contrary to the spirit of the Laws of the Game or relevant rules and regulations of the use of prohibited substances or techniques.
- Coaches must consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance, with full Club kit to be worn at all mini soccer sessions and tournaments and all other relevant times or as directed by the Coaches Coach.
- Coaches must not use or tolerate inappropriate language.
- Coaches must make a personal commitment to remain informed on sound coaching principles and the principles of growth and development of players and take all reasonable steps to obtain (at a minimum) the F.A. Level 1 Coaching Certificate, inclusive of the required First Aid Certificate.
- Coaches must promote sportsmanship, team spirit and respect for players of all abilities and club affiliations.
- Coaches must adhere to the Child Welfare Policy.
- Coaches must not actively participate in matches with the players.
